To begin making the Bhindi Masala Gravy Recipe, make sure to first rinse and dry each Bhindi. This process is done in order to ensure that the bhindi doesn't get sticky while cooking it. finally, serve bhindi masala gravy / okra masala curry with plain rice, chapathi or roti.
Instructions to make Bhindi Gravy/Lady finger Curry:
- Wash lady finger and cut from top and bottom.
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan.
- Fry lady finger till little red.
- Heat remaining oil in same pan.
- Add ginger garlic paste and fry till raw smell goes.
- Add chopped onion and fry till red.
- Now add tomato paste and fry more.
- Add turmeric, coriander, red chilli and black pepper powder.
- Add spring onion and mix well.
- Fry till oil leaves on low flame.
- Pour 1 glass water and boil for 5 minutes on high flame.
- Add fried lady finger.
- Add whole spices powder and kasuri methi, mix properly.
- Cook for 4 minutes more on medium flame.
- Switch off flame.
- Lady finger gravy is ready, serve with chapati/Paratha.
