- When oil is ready, use a spoon to fry one inch pieces of dough. Turn from time to time.
- when dough becomes golden brown in color, remove with a sieve and put it into cooled syrup. Mix in syrup until covered. remove and place in collinder to allow extra drainage.
- when all pieces are fried and dunked in syrup, sprinkle powdered sugar and a pinch of cinnamon. serve
